"Figure out what makes you you and don't ever change."

- Sidney Igboh

About Our Founder

In 2020, Sidney Igboh's life drastically changed, with a coronavirus as the catalyst. For reasons one would never have thought, Sidney's life became meaningless everywhere he went and in everything he viewed because of this coronavirus. For someone with divine-like emotional intelligence, this coronavirus unexpectedly blindsided him and left him demoralized, to the point where Sidney wanted to give it all up completely. However, after over a year's lapse in time of the same everyday lifestyle of belittlement and despair, Sidney's life finally started changing. With over 1 year of employment part-time with FedEx as a Package Handler while simultaneously working part-time with a temporary work service agency and going to school to obtain an Associate's Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Phoenix, days gradually brought Sidney back the joy the coronavirus relentlessly took from him throughout 2020 and early 2021. Already with a 4-Year Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Texas State University, Sidney's optimism and excitement was at an all-time high, looking forward to continue cultivating his new field of study and work. There was only one problem, though: being the only person financially supporting himself was extremely difficult. Living in an over $1,700 per month apartment with school tuition fees did not help Sidney. Sidney knew he had to make a change. While going to school and employed with FedEx and a temporary work service agency, Sidney used a gig app called Favor to produce extra income to pay for his schooling and rent. The abundant amount of money made through this gig app was very quick; quick enough to pay for the whole amount of his monthly rent in its entirety at times when money made from his FedEx job was not available to use. After realizing this, in addition to realizing how overworked he was because of the natural skills he possessed within numerous areas of the warehouse/on-site temporary service jobs he worked at, Sidney came to the decision of quitting his job with FedEx, the temporary work service agency, and school. On December 21, 2021, Sidney decided to pursue gig app delivery full-time, with the strong desire to be his own boss. Knowing how much of a setback he was financially due to the apartment he rented, Sidney was on a mission to get himself out of debt. The 12-month installment was paid off at the same time promised and agreed on the contract he signed, but he had to take out numerous personal loans to pay for some of the installment months before using the Favor gig app. Along with renting out rental cars to continue work whenever his car was broke down, Sidney's debt accumulated to over $10,000 with a credit score of 400. Recognizing how daunting the task of paying that much debt off all by himself only, sacrifices had to be made. Throughout his 2-and-a-half-year journey, Sidney lived in his car every single day and night, as not enough money and bad credit prevented him from renting another place. To maintain hygiene, he would go to a Love's Travel Stop or a Travel Centers of America and purchase a shower and brush his teeth. He strictly ate $0.99 Sliders from 7-Eleven, as they were affordable and very filling. He became a self-made mechanic and started fixing his own car by himself to avoid renting another rental car and spending money at a mechanic shop. He became a self-made phone repair technician and fixed his own phone by himself whenever the screen/camera stopped working, as he could not afford to stop delivering with the gig apps used on it. The hugest sacrifice Sidney made throughout his 2-and-a-half-year in getting out of debt was to deliver non-stop. Sidney is also a skilled piano player and has been playing for over 12 year, but literally hasn't touched a keyboard since 2022, as his focus has shifted solely on delivery. His gym membership comes from Orders with heavy items on them that have to be taken up several flights of stairs to be delivered. For etertainment, the only television Sidney watches is the one a restaurant may have on while waiting for a Customer's order to be prepared. Although relatively easy for a minimalist who lives a very mundane lifestyle like himself, Sidney deliberately isolates himself on a daily basis to not get distracted on other things that don't pertain to delivery. Through his Delivery-Only lifestyle over the course of his 2-and-a-half year journey Sidney's debt has reverted and he has turned himself into a delivery machine, growing his Gig App Portfolio from starting out with Favor Delivery, to extending his Partnerships with DoorDash, Shipt, Uber Eats, Uber Connect, Amazon Flex, Instacart, Returnmates, Grubhub, and Dragonfly Tech. Subsequently, Sidney has grown an immense amount of knowledge about the market he provides his services in and has a plethora of different delivery tactics to making successful deliveries happen every single time, no matter the circumstance. The 2-and-a-half year journey Sidney endeavored taught him so much and gave him more than enough fortitude to start his own Delivery Business, called Sid Delivery. And here we are now.
